A new dance competition segment made its debut on ‘It’s Showtime’ featuring two talented dance groups with extensive experience in international dance competitions.
These groups have consistently represented the Philippines on the global stage, showcasing their dance prowess.
However, the contestants face a recurring challenge when it comes to their international competitions: securing accommodations and funding for their trips abroad. Their passion for dance and their commitment to representing their country drive them to find ways to make their dreams a reality.
During the show, Vice Ganda asked the first all-male dance group about their plans for the prize should they emerge as the winners.
Their response was both poignant and revealing of the struggles they face: “Idadagdag po namin para kami ay makalipad.
Kim Chiu, a host and also a judge in the dancing competition, was moved by the contestants’ words. Her emotional reaction stemmed from her own personal experiences as a dancer, where she faced similar challenges.
Vice Ganda and Ogie Alcasid commended Kim Chiu’s generosity, acknowledging her compassion and willingness to assist the dance groups in their pursuit of representing the Philippines on the international stage.
