In an interview on Tuesday, October 24, actress Julia Montes candidly discussed the difficulties she encounters when trying to form authentic friendships in the showbiz sector.
The conversation took place during a vlog interview with ABS-CBN news anchor Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo.
Julia Montes shared her experience, noting, “Siguro po kasi before I’m super open. ‘Yung bata na parang kung anong naiisip ko, sasabihin ko. Kasi parang feeling ko, walang other world. Kung ano ‘yung real life, ito ‘yung ano. Tapos iba pala.”
“Iba pala sa showbiz. Iba pala ‘yung ganito. Ang dami palang hindi ko pa alam.”
Her initial assumption was that her life in Pandacan, Manila, would mirror her experiences in the showbiz industry. However, she learned that not everyone who appeared to be a friend in the industry was necessarily a genuine friend.
Julia added, “Kaya I’m very lucky na I have few. Sina Ate Dimples [Romana], Eda [Nolan], Kathryn [Bernardo]. Sila ‘yung mga parang key people ko na ‘pag di na ako okay. Tapos hindi sila showbiz sa akin. Pero na-meet ko sila sa showbiz industry na.”
It’s worth noting that Julia Montes recently showed strong support for her friend Kathryn Bernardo’s film, ‘A Very Good Girl,’ which impressively earned ₱10 million on its opening day.
In return, Kathryn expressed her support for Julia’s movie alongside Alden Richards, titled ‘Five Breakups and a Romance.’
