Veteran comedian and TV host Joey de Leon recently set social media abuzz with his Instagram post.
On the evening of October 29, he shared a photo displaying the title of the noontime show they left behind, ‘Eat Bulaga.’
There seemed to be a subtle message on the T-shirt worn by the Henyo Master, which featured a quote about wisdom and a proper name. The words emblazoned on Joey’s shirt read: “‘The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name.’ Wear Eat Bulaga.”
Nonetheless, Joey was quick to clarify in the post’s caption that they have no intention of competing with others.

Their goal, he shared, is to reach the remarkable milestone of celebrating their 50th anniversary as noontime show hosts.
“We don’t COMPETE. Our aim is to COMPLETE 50 years of noontime hosting!” Joey emphasized.
“Nearly 3 years to go, if you include our participation in Student Canteen. Counting patience… just a bit more!” he concluded, signing off as TVJ.
It’s worth noting that the TVJ trio, along with other Dabarkads, left Eat Bulaga on May 31 due to irreconcilable issues with TAPE, Inc., the production company under the Jaloslos. The legal battle between TVJ and TAPE, Inc. continues as they determine the rightful owner of the Eat Bulaga title.
