On September 13, Pinoy singer JC Regino recalled how the late Kapuso broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez helped with his dad, April Boy Regino’s music career.
At the media event for his sophomore single ‘Tama Na Sa Akin Ikaw,’ which LionhearTV covered, JC recounted the struggles his father, April Boy, encountered at the start of his career.
He disclosed that his grandmother helped produce April Boy’s first song.
He then revealed that the seasoned broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez was the first radio DJ who played his father’s song, ‘Sana’y Laging Magkapiling.’
As for his music, JC released his sophomore single ‘Tama Na Sa ‘Kin Ikaw’ on September 15 under GMA Music. The song pays tribute to the timeless hits of the beloved April Boys and their fans.
