Starting on October 14, a temporary replacement for Kapamilya noontime show, ‘It’s Showtime,’ has been revealed.
According to a source cited by showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin, ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ will step in for ‘It’s Showtime’ during a 12-day suspension imposed by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
‘It’s Showtime’ opted not to appeal the suspension and accepted the ruling, asserting that they did not violate any regulations. During this suspension period, ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ will take the spotlight.
Leading the show during this time will be well-known television host and actor Luis Manzano. Alongside him, the program will feature other prominent entertainers such as comedian Long Mejia, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, and a lineup of talented teenage artists affiliated with Star Magic.
The decision to temporarily replace ‘It’s Showtime’ with ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ comes as part of the show’s response to the suspension. This change in programming will be in effect from October 14 to October 27.
Cristy Fermin shared insights from her source, stating, “Ang kuwento ng aking source didikitan nang todo-todo ‘yung dating atake ng Eat Bulaga (EAT na ngayon) susugurin nila ang mga barangay, so makakalaban din ito ni Mayor Jose (Manalo) at saka ni Wally (Bayola).”
This temporary replacement comes as a significant development for fans of Philippine noontime shows, as ‘It’s Showtime’ will be celebrating its anniversary in November, following the 12-day suspension.
