ABS-CBN announced on Friday that its noontime program, ‘It’s Showtime,’ is set to return on October 28 after serving a 12-day suspension imposed by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
In a statement released on October 6, ABS-CBN revealed that it has chosen not to appeal the MTRCB’s decision to the Office of the President. The network expressed its respect for the authority of the review board but maintained that ‘It’s Showtime’ did not violate any relevant laws.
The statement also extended gratitude to the show’s loyal viewers for their unwavering support and promised that ‘It’s Showtime’ would return stronger and better than ever.
Currently, ‘It’s Showtime’ is being broadcast on GTV and is also available on various digital platforms of ABS-CBN.

The show came under scrutiny from the MTRCB following viewer complaints, particularly regarding a July 25, 2023 episode in which hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez were seen consuming cake icing during a segment.
