The Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ is set to undergo a shorter time schedule on GTV.
This adjustment, as revealed by It’s Showtime producer Pawi Lectura in a tweet, will see the show airing from 12NN to 12PM on GTV every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, starting from September 26 and continuing until December 1.

Apparently, the reason behind this schedule change for ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV is linked to the commencement of the new season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As per the schedule for NCAA Season 99, the games are scheduled to be played and broadcasted on GTV every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Consequently, ‘It’s Showtime’ will have its new time slot on GTV during those specific days.
Additionally, alongside these scheduling adjustments, the noontime show will also be taking a temporary break from its broadcast. ABS-CBN and It’s Showtime management have decided not to pursue an appeal to the Office of the President after the MTRCB denied the show’s motion for reconsideration.
In a statement issued on Friday, October 6, ABS-CBN expressed its decision not to appeal the MTRCB’s 12-day suspension of the show. However, the network emphasized that ‘It’s Showtime’ did not violate any relevant laws regarding the incident involving real-life couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez, known as the icing incident.
“After careful consideration, ABS-CBN has decided not to appeal to the Office of the President the decision of the MTRCB on “It’s Showtime” and instead serve the 12-day suspension starting Oct. 14.
“We respect the authority of MTRCB, but we humbly maintain that the program did not break any pertinent law.”
It’s Showtime’s suspension will start from October 14 until October 27, and it will make a strong comeback on October 28.
