‘E.A.T’, ‘Eat Bulaga’ benefit from ‘It’s Showtime’s’ impending suspension

The noontime show ratings battle has taken a turn in favor of ‘E.A.T.’ and ‘Eat Bulaga.’

This shift occurred due to the dismal ratings experienced by the Kapamilya noontime show, ‘It’s Showtime,’ which faced a 12-day suspension ordered by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

According to the most recent Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings, both ‘E.A.T.’ and ‘Eat Bulaga’ are now in fierce competition for the top spot, while ‘It’s Showtime’ finds itself in the third position by default.

On Monday, October 2, ‘E.A.T.’ maintained its lead in the noontime race with a rating of 4.2 percent, followed closely by ‘Eat Bulaga’ with a rating of 3.3 percent. ‘It’s Showtime,’ on the other hand, trailed significantly with a rating of 2.5 percent.

On Tuesday, October 3, ‘E.A.T.’ continued to hold its ground with a 4.2 percent rating, while ‘Eat Bulaga’ saw a slight increase to 3.6 percent. ‘It’s Showtime’ registered a rating of 2.7 percent on this day.

Moving on to Wednesday, October 4, ‘E.A.T.’ experienced a slight bump, reaching a rating of 4.3 percent. However, ‘Eat Bulaga’ dropped to 3.3 percent, and ‘It’s Showtime’ scored 2.8 percent.

With the impending suspension of ‘It’s Showtime’ following ABS-CBN’s decision not to appeal to the Office of the President, we can expect ‘E.A.T.’ and ‘Eat Bulaga’ to secure a larger share of the noontime ratings race. It will also be interesting to see how ABS-CBN’s temporary replacement program performs in the ratings while ‘It’s Showtime’ prepares for a stronger comeback.
