Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin has shed light on the purported cause behind the abrupt exit of the controversial influencer Yexel Sebastian from the prominent dance group Streetboys.
During a recent episode of ‘Showbiz Now Na,’ Cristy disclosed that Yexel had engaged in questionable behavior involving their manager, Chito Roño, in the past.
Yexel reportedly used a fabricated story about his grandmother’s passing as an excuse to skip rehearsals and an important event when he was still a member of Streetboys.
“Pinagsinungalingan niya si Direk Chito Roño bilang manager nila. Sinabi niya kay Direk Chito, ‘Direk hindi po ako makakapag-rehearse, hindi rin ako makakapag-perform, namatay po ang lola ko,” Fermin stated.
However, according to Direk Roño, he later discovered that Yexel’s claim was entirely false after spotting Yexel and his girlfriend supposedly having a good time in Laguna.
Fermin questioned the wisdom of placing trust in a group member who would resort to such a deceitful tactic involving the fictional death of a family member.
Yexel is presently entangled in a controversy related to an alleged investment scam amounting to P200 million. The funds were purportedly invested in a casino junket run by an acquaintance of the influencer.
