On September 28, ‘The Iron Heart’ stars Christian Vasquez and Dimples Romana discussed how their kilig-filled pairing thrived in the Kapamilya action series.
At the media conference for the finale of ‘The Iron Heart,’ which LionhearTV covered, Romana cited how her friendship with Vasquez helped with their character’s connection in the series.
“Yeah, because it’s so weird, di ba? Like, kuya and I have been [really] good friends since– Lorenzo’s time pa, and Bayani. Doon mas maiksi pa ‘yung skirt niya kaysa sa skirt ko.
“Di ba Kuya? [Which] you know, for Iron Heart–it’s nice that– last night I was talking to Direk Lester because–they’ve just opened Wangfu in SM Sucat, no. So I was talking on the set, sabi ko, ‘Direk, ang lakas pala ng circus no, ‘yung parang Selene and Orcus.”
She also appreciated how the viewers welcomed her pairing with Vasquez.
“And I think it’s very nice that we welcomed love in all ages because it really happens like that in real life. Ganon naman talaga in real life.”
Vasquez agreed with Romana, noting that they did not expect success of their pairing.
“Tama nga naman, ‘yung love wala namang pinipiling age. Sa lahat ng naman ng edad di ba nandoon naman ‘yung love. And di ba, lahat naman nakaka-experience ng kilig. So nakakatuwa, very unexpected na may lumabas na kilig sa ating dalawa.”
Vasquez also highlighted the increase in their ratings before the action series finale.
“Maganda-maganda, exciting, kasi tumaas ‘yung ratings–thankful kami dahil sa tumaas ‘yung ratings. Eh dahil sa tumaas ‘yung ratings sana magkaroon ng Season 3 pero di naman.”
‘The Iron Heart’ logged record-breaking viewership multiple times in September, especially when the series reached 451,538 peak concurrent viewers. The Kapamilya action series also secured 8.1% TV ratings based on the recent NUTAM survey.
