ABS-CBN’s newest romantic drama series, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love (CBML),’ has been on an incredible rise just one week since its debut.
In the latest ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, CBML achieved its highest-ever ratings and maintained its dominance in its time slot.
On Friday, October 20, the DonBelle series hit an impressive 9.2 percent rating, its highest to date, surpassing its rival Kapuso primetime drama ‘Love Before Sunrise (LBS),’ which scored 7.5 percent.
CBML’s latest ratings are 0.2 percent higher than its previous peak of 9.0 percent, achieved on Wednesday, October 18.
The Kapamilya teleserye started its ratings journey on a high note. During its debut on Monday, October 16, CBML comfortably won the time slot with a rating of 8.0 percent, while LBS scored 7.1 percent.
The following day, on Tuesday, October 17, CBML saw a 0.5 percent increase in ratings, reaching 8.5 percent, once again outperforming LBS, which had a rating of 8.1 percent.
On Wednesday, October 18, CBML extended its lead, reaching 9.0 percent, with a 1.3 percent advantage over LBS at 7.7 percent.
Even on Thursday, October 19, when CBML experienced a slight decline to 8.5 percent, it still secured a 1.1 percent lead over LBS, which had a rating of 7.4 percent.
It appears that loyal Kapamilya viewers have readily embraced CBML as the second slot in the primetime block, following the successful run of the former second slot program, ‘The Iron Heart.’
The question now is whether CBML can maintain this impressive performance in the ratings. We’ll see.
