ABS-CBN’s most recent romantic drama series, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love (CBML),’ has kicked off with an impressive performance in the TV ratings competition.
According to the latest available data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, CBML is maintaining its position as the leader in its timeslot, and its ratings are steadily on the rise.
During its debut episode on Monday, October 16, CBML outperformed its rival, ‘Love Before Sunrise,’ securing an 8.0 percent rating, which was 0.9 percent higher than the latter’s 7.1 percent. This impressive performance placed CBML in the 7th position on the overall ratings leaderboard.
On the following day, Tuesday, October 17, the DonBelle series held onto its 7th spot, and its rating increased to 8.5 percent. Once again, it surpassed ‘LBS,’ which had an 8.1 percent rating with a margin of 0.4 percent.
In addition to its strong TV ratings, the series also achieved substantial success online, with a remarkable 454,413 concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live during its premiere episode.
Furthermore, CBML dominated the trending topics list on X (formerly Twitter) during its debut, with the hashtag #CBMLNiHao claiming the number one spot.
As of now, the series continues to maintain its status as the number one TV show on Netflix Philippines.
The question remains: Will CBML continue its upward trend in ratings? We’ll soon witness the influence of the dedicated DonBell fanbase in the days to come.
