The recent accolades received by the historical-romance drama movie ‘1521: The Quest for Freedom’ at the Sweden Film Awards (SFA) have not elicited any public response from the camp of Filipino actress Bea Alonzo.

Despite the film’s success at the SFA, there has been no official statement or reaction from Bea Alonzo’s side.

The victory was announced via an Instagram post made by one of the movie’s producers, Francis Lara Ho.

“Two weeks ago, we shared the breaking news that ‘1521: The Movie’ was selected as one of the official selections of SFA. Today, with great honor and excitement, we want to announce that ‘1521: The Quest for Love & Freedom’ won in the Sweden Film Awards 2023!” read the post.

Although Bea Alonzo and other cast members were tagged in the Instagram post, there has been no public comment from the actress or her representatives regarding the film’s achievement.

The film ‘1521: The Quest for Freedom’ became a topic of discussion due to Bea Alonzo’s absence from its promotional efforts.

Shirley Kuan, Bea’s manager, had previously shared insights into the challenges faced by Team Bea during the movie’s production, including the actress personally covering the expenses for her costumes.
