Anji Salvacion has offered her response to criticisms regarding her role in the latest ABS-CBN series, ‘Linlang.’
Certain viewers, including well-known talent manager Ogie Diaz, have expressed their opinions that the characters played by Anji Salvacion and Kice seemed extraneous to the primary storyline.
Nevertheless, Salvacion has underscored that some scenes, which would have provided more context for her role in the series, were omitted.
She explained in a ‘Teleradyo Serbisyo’ interview, “Before that scene, may mga scene pa ‘yun na hindi (nasama) sa Prime (Video) kasi may limited din na time sa Prime.”
Salvacion also emphasized that her message to her fans, advising them to refrain from responding to critics, had been misinterpreted.
“I was there to call my Sunshines na huwag na nating patulan kasi at the end of the day, ‘di naman natin sila kilala. They are just there to judge us and all,” Salvacion clarified.
She added, “Actually, ang gagaling ng bashers, na-connect nila ‘yung tweet ko sa sinabi ni Mama (Ogie). Wala naman akong sinabing ganoon kay Mama (Ogie).”
When asked how she deals with online criticism, Salvacion remarked, “Ang hirap kasing mag-explain and I don’t wanna prove myself to anyone kasi at the end of the day, may mga tao na they believe what they believe in and we cannot change their minds in their close-minded.”
“Just let them be, I don’t talk anymore. I just let them talk and talk and I’m just here gonna do my thing,” she concluded.
Anji Salvacion embarked on her entertainment career in 2019 when she competed on ‘Idol Philippines.’ Although she progressed through the Theatre Rounds, she was eliminated before reaching the Live Shows. In 2020, she joined the cast of ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10,’ where she ultimately clinched the title of Big Winner.
Since her victory on ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ Salvacion has released her debut extended play, ‘Kasingkasing Dalampasigan,’ and has appeared in several television series, including ‘Unloving U’ (2021), ‘Marry Me, Marry You’ (2021), and ‘My Sunset Girl’ (2021). Currently, she is prominently featured in the musical ‘Tabing Ilog The Musical’ and ‘Linlang.’
