On September 22, actress Alessandra de Rossi swore she would never do a TV series again.
During the scene drop event for ‘Firefly’ at Azadore Restaurant in Quezon City, which LionhearTV covered, de Rossi explained that she was experiencing health issues when portraying emotionally heavy roles for long periods.
“No, never, sumasama ang katawan ko, kasi lagi kang galit, hindi ka naman galit in real life, so mayroon akong acidity, tapos sore throat sa kakasigaw, nagpapalpitate ako, kasi every other day kasi ‘yun for ten years, so sabi ko, ‘Ayaw ko na ng ganon.’ Tinigil ko siya, nawala lahat.”
She noted how writing her own lines in her previous TV shows and focusing on her music became an outlet for her while taking on ‘Kontrabida’ roles.
Mahirap gawing bida, wala kasing endorsements.
As for her best teleserye, she considered ‘Legacy’ (2012) her best teleserye role yet.
As for the upcoming film ‘Firefly,’ the movie under the direction of Zig Dulay recently became part of the movie roster for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2023.
‘Firefly’ stars Alessandra de Rossi, Euwenn Mikaell, Cherry Pie Picache, Epy Quizon, Yayoy Aguila, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Max Collins, and Kokoy de Santos, with a special participation of the Kapuso Primetime King, Dingdong Dantes.
