On October 4, Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards admitted he wasn’t in a good place when they began filming for ‘Five Break Ups and A Romance.’
At the media event for ‘Five Break Ups and A Romance,’ which LionhearTV covered, Richards highlighted how making the romance drama movie made him stronger despite starting the production in a less-than-ideal place in their lives.
“Kami pong tatlo, parang when we started, we were not in a good place in our lives. But this film–Direk you have done something with this story ha, done something na changed us and made us stronger. So doon sa tanong kung paano ko winelcome si Jules, I think first day pa lang ng script reading nakilala namin ‘yung isa’t isa.”
He explained that being with the cast and crew of the film helped him through his personal struggles amid the production of ‘Five Break Ups and A Romance.’
“I don’t want to go into details because it’s very personal. But, I think what I can share is how much good ‘yung nagawa ng paggawa ng Five Break Ups and a Romance sa buhay ko during that time. Alam ni Direk ‘yun, alam ni Juls ‘yun, na-kwento ko sa kanila. And you know, sometimes you think, you’re strong– shot na lang– pero parang minsan, sasabihin mo sa mundo na okay akong mag-isa, kaya ko mag-isa, pero hindi ‘yun eh.”
He then thanked the entire cast and crew for successfully completing the production of the upcoming romance drama movie.
“I think more than the movie, more than the script, more than the work, more than the talent fee– and you know more than the opportunity that [was] given to me, ano ‘yung nakuha ko sa kanila, to all the people that are here, to the cast, kagaya noong sinasabi ni Gil kanina, ni Miss Jackie, there are no [small] roles.
“Everyone needs to be acknowledged. Everyone needs credit for all the successful things [that] they’ve been a part of, walang maliit na tao, from the lightsman, the gaffers, to the utilities, to the traffic aide–they deserve the credit for the success of [certain] projects. And with Five Break Ups and a Romance, we are giving credit to all the people [who are] here tonight.”
