During a recent mall show at Fisher Mall, Alden Richards and Julia Montes announced that the film’s premiere night would take place on October 17 at SM Megamall.
The two actors have been actively promoting the movie through mall shows, where they also distribute posters to fans. Their promotion strategy seems to focus on mall appearances.
Alden stated, “Please watch us on our first day, as we have many surprises in store for moviegoers. Let’s support the Philippine cinema industry to bring back its vibrancy and vitality.”
It has been reported that Alden and Julia may not promote the film on the three major noontime shows to avoid controversy. If they only promote the movie on ‘Eat Bulaga’ and ‘It’s Showtime,’ it could lead to discussions, especially since Alden was previously part of the original ‘Eat Bulaga.’
The original ‘at Bulaga’ has since moved to TV5 with the title ‘E.A.T.,’ and it is not possible for Alden to promote there as he has an exclusive contract with GMA Network. Instead, they have chosen to focus on mall promotions and other GMA Network shows, such as ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.’
Meanwhile, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has given a PG (Parental Guidance) rating to the film ‘Five Breakups and A Romance,’ starring Alden Richards and Julia Montes, which is set to premiere on October 18. Some may wonder why the movie did not receive a GP (General Patronage) rating, possibly due to its theme directed by Irene Villamor or the presence of kissing and daring scenes featuring Alden and Julia.

With a PG rating, the film is likely to pique the curiosity of more viewers. It may be the first time that both Alden and Julia have starred in a PG-rated movie, making it even more interesting to watch.
