In a recent episode of the vlog series ‘PasaHero with Mister Angkas,’ hosted by George Royeca, CEO of a ride-hailing and delivery app, Unkabogable Star and Phenomenal Box-Office Superstar Vice Ganda candidly discussed his wealth and what it means to him.
The conversation delved into the multifaceted nature of wealth, extending beyond financial assets to encompass various aspects of life, such as family, love, friendships, and more.
Vice Ganda revealed that he finds it challenging to quantify his current wealth accurately, emphasizing that the question of “how wealthy he is” is easier to ask than to answer definitively.
Vice Ganda elaborated on the complexities of measuring wealth, highlighting that it extends beyond monetary value and involves a holistic assessment of one’s happiness, achievements, and the quality of relationships in their life.
“Depende siguro kung saan mo sinusukat ‘yong kayamanan na tinutukoy,” Vice shared. “Hindi ko alam, pero hindi ko na masukat ang yaman ko ngayon.”
“Sama-sama na ‘yong tinutukoy na yaman ko ha. Yaman ng pananalapi, yaman ng kaligayahan sa puso, yaman ng mga naabot na rin na mga pangarap. Yaman ng mga taong nakapaligid sa akin. So kung susumahin ko, ‘pag pinagsama-sama ko ‘yon, hindi ko na alam kung gaano siya kalaki, pero alam kong mayaman na ako,” he added.
He shared insights from his early career as a singer in comedy bars, recounting a time when he would forego his talent fee and rely on tips from the audience during his performances. Over time, he honed his skills in this arena and became recognized as the ‘Queen of Comedy Bars.’
However, Vice Ganda faced a setback when his voice temporarily faltered, preventing him from singing for several months. During this period, he ventured into stand-up comedy, which ultimately contributed to his remarkable success in the entertainment industry.
Vice Ganda’s journey from an aspiring artist to an accomplished figure was marked by financial stability and the fulfillment of personal aspirations. Yet, he now sees his purpose as extending beyond personal success to serve as an inspiration, particularly within the LGBTQIA+ community.
He aims to be a role model for those he represents, emphasizing that his influence transcends the boundaries of the LGBTQIA+ community, as his unique mindset and approach to life resonate with a diverse audience.
