Numerous online users have praised Vice Ganda, the host of It’s Showtime, for displaying unwavering determination following the decision by the Movies and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to suspend their show due to allegations of indecent acts.
In the episode of It’s Showtime that aired on Tuesday, September 5, Vice Ganda appeared in an all-pink ensemble, seemingly making a powerful political statement.
When his fellow host complimented his appearance, the renowned star confidently remarked, “Ganyan talaga pag marami kang blessing, parang kang namumukadkad na rosas.”
The color pink had become synonymous with the opposition during the 2022 national elections, and Vice was one of the most prominent supporters of the Kakampink movement.
With this bold move, internet users couldn’t help but applaud his courage in standing his ground and drawing attention to his opposition to the decision.
In a tweet, @altstarmagic humorously poked fun at MTRCB chair Lala Sotto, while @jmsantosreyes echoed this sentiment, likening Vice Ganda to a fruitful tree.
“‘Ganyan talaga pag marami kang blessings, para kang namumukadkad na isang ROSAS’ AYAW YAN NI LALA SOTTO AT NI NGIWI MEME HUYYYYYYYYY”

@lilyoftheveil17 heaped praise on Vice Ganda, noting how he had evolved from merely entertaining to boldly speaking out against injustices in the country.
“Ito ung character development na tuwang tuwa talaga ako. Ang layo na ni Meme Vice doon sa tumawag ng wokeininam sa mga nagcocorrect sa kanya. She’s already always speaking up about injustices in the country. Laveet!”
