On August 19, Kapuso star Lianne Valentin looked back to her Kapuso Journey and her career.

At the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City, which LionhearTV covered, Valentin recounted her early career in ‘Tropang Potchi.’

“First of all, ‘yung sa Tropang Potchi, I was nine years old ‘yung nag-start ako doon and ngayon 22 na ako. Medyo matagal-tagal na rin. Grabe rin ‘yung journey.”

Valentin was part of the 2009 child-friendly Kapuso program ‘Tropang Potchi’ with Bianca Umali, Miggs Cuaderno, Julian Trono, Ella Cruz, Sabrina Man, Miggy Jimenez, and Lenlen Frial.

She thanked GMA Network for giving her opportunities with Apoy sa Langit and the primetime murder mystery series Royal Blood.

“Pero ‘yun nga, I’m very grateful sa journey ko dito sa GMA Network. I started matagal na. Pero, very grateful ako kasi alam ko may right timing ang lahat.

“And ayun nga, nabigyan ako ng role nga, ‘yung sa Apoy sa Langit and then this year, itong Royal Blood.”

Valentin cited the difference in her role from ‘Apoy sa Langit’ to ‘Royal Blood.’

“And ‘yung preparations ko dito, of course, it’s very hard. I came from a role na last year, very uneducated, very opposite kumbaga.”

She then talked about how the all-star cast of Royal Blood treated her well as an artist.

“Of course, I’m very happy to work with everyone na nasa Royal Blood. Ayan sila Kuya Dion, everyone. Ako kasi ‘yung bunso sa set. So they really treat me as their little sister. And I’m very grateful for them dahil lahat sila, first time ko nakatrabaho and they never treated me as like parang bago ka dito, baguhan ka dito.”

She also highlighted how the cast formed chemistry with each other while working on the series.

“Tinanggap nila ako ng buong-buo and grabe lang ‘yung naging relationship namin on set and doon ‘yung mas nakakatuwa and exciting kasi lahat kami nagja-jive ‘yung energies namin. And nakikita naman ‘yun, sana, the way na we portray our roles and ‘yung chemistry namin on TV.”

As for ‘Royal Blood,‘ the Kapuso series stars Dingdong Dantes with Megan Young, Dion Ignacio, Mikael Daez, Valentin, Rhian Ramos, Rabiya Mateo, Benjie Paras, Arthur Solinap, Cruz, Andrew Schimmer, John Feir, Carmen Soriano, James Graham, Princess Aliyah, Aidan Veneracion, and Sienna Stevens.

Watch ‘Royal Blood,’ on weeknights at 8:50 PM on GMA Telebabad, Pinoy Hits, I Heart Movies, and at 10:50 PM on GTV.
