This past week marked the debut of two intriguing crime mystery drama series: ABS-CBN’s ‘Senior High’ and GMA Network’s ‘The Missing Husband.’ How did they perform in terms of television ratings?
On Monday, August 28th, both ‘Senior High’ and ‘The Missing Husband’ aired their pilot episodes. According to the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, these series achieved parallel rankings in their respective ranking sections.
‘Senior High,’ featuring the talented Kapamilya young-star Andrea Brillantes, debuted with a rating of 3.6 percent, securing the 17th position on the overall rating chart. It’s worth noting that ‘Senior High’ trailed behind its competitor, ‘Unbreak My Heart,’ which garnered a rating of 5.6 percent, securing the 10th spot on the rating board.
On the other hand, ‘The Missing Husband’ made an impressive entry, claiming the 7th position on the ratings chart with a rating of 7.5 percent. This marked a significant 5.8 percent lead over its Kapamilya rival, ‘Nag-aapoy Na Damdamin,’ which scored just 1.7 percent and ranked 30th on the leaderboard.
In a Facebook post dated August 29th, GMA Drama expressed gratitude to Kapuso viewers for their valuable contribution to the success of the series’ premiere.
“SUCCESS ang World Premiere ng #TheMissingHusband kahapon! Maraming maraming salamat po, mga Kapuso!”

Given the success of ‘Dirty Linen,’ one may wonder if ‘Senior High’ can follow suit and witness an improvement in ratings in the days to come. Similarly, ‘The Missing Husband,’ following in the footsteps of its predecessor ‘The Seed of Love,’ which also achieved remarkable ratings for an afternoon program, holds the potential for further success.
‘Senior High’ airs nightly at 9:30 p.m. on all Kapamilya network platforms, while ‘The Missing Husband’ airs on weekday afternoons immediately after ‘Magandang Dilag.’
