The Kapamilya action drama is set to conclude its 11-month run on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Richard Gutierrez-topbilled series, The Iron Heart, has surprisingly soared on top of the competition, after its previous rival show, Royal Blood, bade adieu on air last September 22. Since Monday, September 25, the Star Creatives-produced series, has since been ruling the ratings game versus newcomer, Love Before Sunrise, which stars Bea Alonzo and Dennis Trillo.
Even more commendable, is the Kapamilya series’ most recent feat. According to the latest data from ratings provider, Nielsen Philippines, The Iron Heart scored a people rating of 9.4, for its September 28 episode. That is now the highest people rating achieved by a Kapamilya show airing on the second primetime slot, with the previous record being Huwag Kang Mangamba‘s 9.0 people rating, in 2021.
With this new milestone, Gutierrez joins fellow Kapamilya Primetime Bida star, Coco Martin, in pushing back ABS-CBN back to the top of the ratings game. The Iron Heart notably joined the Top 5 TV programs on Wednesday, September 27, which is a first for any ABS-CBN show airing on that time slot, since the expiration of the network’s legislative franchise in May 2020.
Marking Gutierrez’s first starring role in an ABS-CBN primeyime series, The Iron HeartHeart, is undeniably the strongest series to air on the network’s second primetime slot.
Set to film some scenes of its finale in Japan, The Iron Heart, owns the distinction of having shot its principal photography in various parts of the country. For season 1, the top rating series showcased the beauty of the province of Cebu, while it also took its audiences to a number of picturesque cities in Italy, for its breathtaking season 1 finale.
