On September 1, the Korean Pop boy group TAN (To All Nations) highlighted the importance of Pinoy fans to KPOP.
At the media event for TAN, which LionhearTV covered, TAN member Taehoon acknowledged the impact of Filipino fans on the KPOP genre.
“Being one of the important nations when it comes to KPOP, so with their group named To All Nations, they want like to leave their name here in the Philippines and go to other nations as well.”
TAN Jaejun highlighted the warm welcome from Filipino supporters when they arrived in the country for the second time.
“He feels like he’s back home. And of course, a lot Philippine fans are welcoming them, so they feel very grateful for that.”
TAN Hyeonyeop admitted he felt abandoned during their first Philippine visit because of his injury.
“I’m not sure if you remember it, but during their visit here– Hyeonyeop had a foot injury. So he wasn’t able to join the group with their dance performances.Â
“So, for the past ten months, he actually made a lot of effort to recover well and wait for this day to come back to the Philippines.Â
“So he felt kind of abandoned, he wasn’t able to show his best performances during the first visit. And now they’re back, he promises to give his all in their performances in their second visit.”
TAN Jooan echoed Jaejun’s statement, citing how he considered the country his ‘home.’
“Being here in the Philippines feels like home, and they actually wanted to come earlier.Â
“And now that they’re back with their new album, they’ll be able to introduce their new album to the Filipino fans. It’s such an honor for them, and it’s such a joy.”
TAN Songhyuk felt grateful for the welcome from their Filipino fans.
“So it’s been a long time since their last visit, but with this new album, they really have like, confidence in introducting it to the Filipino fans. And of course, everytime they visit here in the Philippines, there’s a lot of people welcoming them, so he’s really grateful and thankful for that.”
TAN’s Mall shows included Market! Market! Activity Center (September 8), TriNoma Activity Center (September 9), and SM City Cagayan de Oro Downtown (September 10).
As for their mini album, ‘Tan Made,’ the music collection includes tracks such as Artificial Heart, Violet, Freeze, Jekyll & Hide, Tarzan, and New Days.Â
TAN first visited the country in November 2022, and thanks to the efforts of SBTown and Universal Records, the KPOP boy group was able to return to the country.
