Kapuso First Lady of Primetime Sanya Lopez gears up for more challenging and exemplary roles as she signed an exclusive contract with GMA Network yesterday, September 28.
The contract signing was attended by GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, President and Chief Operating Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, and Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable.
Also present were Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategic Planning and Business Development and Concurrent Chief Risk Officer, and Head of Program Support Regie C. Bautista, Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angela Javier Cruz, First Vice President for Business Development Department III Darling de Jesus-Bodegon, Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Vice President for Sparkle GMA Artist Center Joy C. Marcelo, Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Assistant Vice Presidents for Drama Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria and Helen Rose S. Sese, and Sparkle GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia.
Sanya turned emotional as she thanked the Network for all the opportunities she has received, “Sobrang thank you po sa tiwalang binigay ninyo sa akin. Sobrang proud po ako at overwhelmed with happiness. Maraming salamat kay Tatay, Kuya Germs, kasi siya po ‘yung naging daan para makilala ninyo ako.”
The homegrown Kapuso actress also affirmed that she will continue working hard on her upcoming projects, “For me po, hindi siya basta kontrata na pinirmahan lang. Reward po siya para sa akin. Simple lang naman akong tao na nangarap at kayo po ang naging daan para matupad ‘yon. Gagawin ko po ang best ko at mananatili po akong Kapuso.”
Meanwhile, Atty. Gozon highlighted the talent, beauty, and good character of Sanya that makes everyone love her, “Nagpapasalamat ako kay Sanya dahil pumirma siya ng exclusive Network contract. Ito ang kanyang sign ng loyalty sa GMA at ang GMA naman ay loyal din sa kanya. Now, she is a full-blown artist. Nais kong idagdag na wala akong nabalitaang problemang ibinigay sa amin ni Sanya. Batang-bata ka pa, malayo pa ang mararating mo sa industriya.”
Duavit also expressed his utmost support for the highly-acclaimed leading lady, “We saw her go through the earlier years of her career and together, we all know that she will be even bigger and better in the years to come. Thank you for the honor you bring to all of us and for the example you are to many of our talents. We wish you the best of luck. Basta nandito lang kaming lahat sa likuran mo.”
Moreover, Yalong reminisced when she first met Sanya, “I remember nu’ng pinakilala siya sa amin ni Kuya Germs way, way back. Sabi niya noon sa akin, ‘FSY, this will be the future of GMA.’ And tama ka, Kuya Germs. Now, Sanya is one of our biggest stars and she has always been loyal to us. For that, we are truly grateful.”
Atty. Gozon-Valdes, on the other hand, reiterated how much they value the First Lady of Primetime, “I’m very, very happy that you decided to join GMA Artist Center. You’re one of our most prized talents. I hope you stay the same because ‘yan ang key to your success. Thank you very much, Sanya, for entrusting us again and congratulations on your Network contract.”
Furthermore, Rasonable shared her excitement to work on one of the exciting projects lined up for Sanya, “It’s very nostalgic for us and we’re so proud kung ano ang narating mo ngayon. We look forward to the many projects that we will be working on together. Keep up the good work and keep your feet on the ground. We love working with you.”
Sanya is truly an inspiration to all the dreamers out there! Starting off from supporting roles, her career quickly blossomed and took star-making turns in some of TV’s biggest programs.
