The K-Pop superstar’s recent visit on It’s Showtime, marked the first time she appeared on the Kapamilya noon time in six years.
Even after nearly two decades since she joined the first season of Star Circle Quest in 2004, Sandara Park or simply Dara, to her KPOP fans, remains loved by her Filipino fans and even casual audiences. On her visit to It’s Showtime, yesterday, September 23, Dara simply reminded why she was able to keep the overflowing love of the Filipino people through the years: she is still the ‘krung-krung’ we love since day one.
On her visit to the Kapamilya noontime show, Dara paid tribute to her beginnings in the Philippines and her ABS-CBN roots.

“Kaya mahal na mahal ko ang Pilipinas eh, and dito ako nagsimula, especially here in ABS-CBN”, she shared, responding to Anne Curtis’ question on what she feels about still being regarded as the ‘Pambansang Krung Krung’ ng Pilipinas, even after so many years.
Staying true to her cute and playful humor, the 2NE1 member did not skip the chance to generate chuckles among the It’s Showtime hosts and the studio audiences.
“Pero nagtataka ako, bakit wala ‘yung picture ko doon sa wall, sa labas, ” she asked, referring to the famed corridor at ABS-CBN, where portraits of the network’s biggest stars are hung against the wall. Playfully delivered, the question elicited laughter across the studio room. Other hosts jokingly responded, “kami rin naman, wala, Dara“.
