Kapamilya host and actor Ryan Bang recently shared a heartwarming moment from his trip to South Korea, where he introduced his Filipino girlfriend to his family. The identity of his girlfriend remains undisclosed.
This revelation came to light during a segment of the noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ known as ‘Rampanalo.’ Observing Ryan’s apparent happiness, the hosts inquired about the reason behind it. Ryan disclosed that he had returned to Korea after two years and took the opportunity to reunite his family.
Ryan shared, “[Umuwi kasi ako ng Korea] after two years. Alam mo, ‘di ba separate ‘yung magulang ko [since] elementary ako, nag-lunch kami [nang magkakasama],” He added a touch of humor, saying, “‘Yung mommy ko, nagkita sila ng daddy ko after 10 years, mainit ulo pa rin mommy ko.”
Vhong Navarro emphasized the significance of having a complete family during the trip, and Jhong Hilario playfully asked, “Bakit ba complete family?”
Ryan responded, “Pinakilala ko sa magulang ko [‘yung] girlfriend ko.”
He explained that his mother doesn’t speak English or Tagalog, which presented some communication challenges. Ryan humorously described his role during the visit as that of a translator, saying, “‘Yung mommy ko kasi hindi marunong mag-English at Tagalog kaya hindi sila magkaintidihan. Kaya para akong nasa trabaho pa rin. Translate ako nang translate, ‘di ako makakain.”
His efforts to bridge the language gap left his mother overjoyed.
Ryan confirmed his relationship on August 29 but has chosen to keep most details about his girlfriend private. In a previous interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ he expressed his desire to settle down in the Philippines with a Filipina wife.
