It has been 13 years since the veteran actress Nova Villa last worked on a TV show for ABS-CBN. Her last project with the network was ‘Kokey @ Ako’ in 2010 before she ventured into a teleserye on TV5. Eventually, she found herself with GMA Network since 2011.
Now, in 2023, the beloved ‘Goddess of Philippine Comedy,’ Nova Villa, is making her return to the Kapamilya network, which is remembered by fans for her iconic role as Azon Madamba in the classic comedy show ‘Home Along Da Riles.’
Nova’s participation in the MMFF 2022 entry ‘Labyu with an Accent,’ alongside Coco Martin and Jodi Sta. Maria, seems to have paved the way for her return to ABS-CBN.
Nova will be joining the cast of the network’s first-ever teleserye featuring the popular love team DonBelle, composed of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. While Belle is set to portray Caroline, a wealthy Chinese woman from a traditional family, Donny will play Bingo, a hardworking man devoted to supporting his loved ones. Nova’s role in the series has yet to be announced, but it is expected to be significant.
Nova’s return is a welcome move, and fans are eagerly anticipating her upcoming projects with ABS-CBN. Many viewers have undoubtedly missed her presence on the network.
