Nadine Lustre and Bea Binene are set to share the screen for the first time in the upcoming horror movie ‘Nokturno,’ which Viva Films intends to submit for the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in December 2023.
The two actresses have a history together, having previously worked on ‘Party Pilipinas,’ a now-defunct Sunday noontime variety show on GMA Network.
During the ‘Nokturno’ story conference held on August 30 at Estancia Mall in Pasig City, Nadine revealed that she was a member of the all-girl group Pop Girls when she first encountered Bea on ‘Party Pilipinas.’
“Hindi kami directly nagka-work ni Bea, but we were in Party Pilipinas when I was still with the Pop Girls, so nagkita-kita na kami before. So, ngayong nagkita ulit kami, parang hindi naman siya total stranger to me. Nagkakausap na rin kami before. May pinuntahan kaming event, so hindi na siya total stranger.
“But I am really excited to do it with a new cast this time around, kasi siyempre, ang saya ng ibang meron nang katrabaho. I’m really looking forward to working with Bea,” Nadine commented on her upcoming project alongside Bea in a leading role in the horror film.
Bea affirmed that their paths had indeed crossed during their time on ‘Party Pilipinas’ when they worked on dance productions, which has her eagerly anticipating their latest film project.
“I am just really excited and now, we belong to one home, one roof now under Viva Artists Agency,” Bea shared about her enthusiasm for their upcoming collaboration on a horror movie project.
Bea pointed out that they both are part of the Viva Artists Agency, the talent management agency of Viva Entertainment.
While she expressed her excitement, Bea acknowledged feeling a bit nervous about their foray into a horror movie. Nevertheless, she believes the experience will be both enjoyable and unforgettable.
