Kyline Alcantara is all set to step into the shoes of a kontrabida (antagonist) once more, as she prepares to play a challenging role in the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the 2009 Korean drama sensation, ‘Shining Inheritance.’
During a report by Nelson Canlas on ’24 Oras,’ Kyline shared that it has been five years since she last portrayed an antagonist, which she did in the series ‘Kambal, Karibal.’
She expressed a bit of apprehension about revisiting this type of role, as it is no longer within her comfort zone.
“Natatakot po ako sa ibang bagay naman. Natatakot ako bilang kontrabida ulit, bilang maging kontrabida ulit kasi kung dati pong comfort zone ko siya, ngayon hindi na po so kinakabahan po ako,” Kyline admitted.
Kyline will be joined by fellow actors Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, Michael Sager, and Coney Reyes in the cast. Additionally, the series will feature stars from Sparkle, including Roxie Smith and Glydel Mercado, among others.
Originally starring Lee Seung Gi, Han Hyo Joo, Moon Chae Won, and Bae Soo Bin, ‘Shining Inheritance’ tells the story of a woman from an affluent family who loses everything abruptly after her father’s passing.
