Kapuso afternoon dramas ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (AKNP) and ‘Magandang Dilag (MD)’ are on the roll after they totally smashed primetime programs to lead the rating chart.
According to Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings, AKNP has risen to the top position in the overall ratings, while MD has surpassed the entertainment powerhouse, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ),’ to secure its place.
On Friday, August 25, AKNP achieved an impressive rating of 12.7 percent, claiming the number 1 spot and surpassing “24 Oras,” which had a 12.5 percent rating at number 2.
This marks AKNP’s highest weekday ranking since its debut in September 2022.
GMA Drama expressed gratitude to its dedicated Kapuso viewers in a Facebook post for their unwavering support for the series.

Meanwhile, “The Seed of Love” and “Voltes V: Legacy” tied for the number 5 position with identical ratings of 11.0 percent.
Beyond their soaring ratings, AKNP and MD have also been flourishing in terms of online viewership. Similarly, “Magandang Dilag” accumulated more than 1.8 million views for its August 25 episode.
The achievements of AKNP and MD underscore GMA Network’s successful strategy of transforming its afternoon lineup into the new prime hours of Philippine TV viewing.
