In a recent appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ actor Joross Gamboa revisited a past controversy that garnered public attention back in January 2016.
While the specific incident was not explicitly mentioned during the interview, it was apparent that the video scandal from that period was a topic of discussion during the show.
During the conversation, Joross opened up about the challenging time when the scandal circulated while he was abroad with his wife, Katz Saga. Boy Abunda, the host of the show, commended Joross for his courage and honesty in addressing the past issue, stating, “It takes a lot of courage and bravery to own up to things.”
Joross shared that, at the height of the controversy, he turned to prayer for strength and chose to handle hurtful comments with grace.
When asked how he now deals with temptations, Joross provided valuable advice: “Dati kasi nilalabanan ko yung temptasyon, pero hindi pala dapat ganoon. Dapat tinatakbuhan palayo. Huwag ka nang pumunta sa situation kasi parang downhill lang yan. Nandito pa lang, tigilan mo na. Dahil kapag nandito na sa gitna, pababa, mahirap nang pigilin.”
He further explained that he has since developed a stronger faith in God, which he believes equips him to face and overcome various temptations. Joross acknowledged that Toni Gonzaga’s advice played a significant role in shaping his perspective.
He recounted her question, “What completes your heart?” and realized that true completeness comes from the Creator. He emphasized the importance of seeking inner joy rather than fleeting happiness, as joy remains unaffected by external circumstances.
Currently, Joross Gamboa can be seen in the Kapuso afternoon series titled ‘The Missing Husband,’ where he stars alongside Yasmien Kurdi and Rocco Nacino.
Drawing from his own experiences, Joross issued a warning to viewers about the dangers of financial scams and stressed the need for guidance when encountering seemingly “too good to be true” opportunities.
