On September 6, actor John Arcilla remarked that he never imagined he would be a game show host in ‘SpinGo.’
At the ‘SpinGo’ Media Pre-Game event, which LionhearTV attended, Arcilla cited that his hosting gig in the upcoming TV5 game show was a ‘break’ from his drama-heavy roles in various productions.
“So never kong na-imagine na magiging host ako, although gustong-gusto ko ‘yung trabaho nila. Sabi ko, nakaka-break kasi doon sa klase ng trabaho ko bilang actor, lalo na ngayon kasi I have my lite side naman.”
He also noted how his family had always been fond of game shows.
“Well, actually from the very beginning kasi, my family has been very fond of watching game shows. Mula umpisa noong bata pa ako, ‘yung panahon pa nila Bob Iger sa The Price is Right, tapos naging si Drew Carry, nagkaroon ng mga Jeopardy, nagkaroon na ng Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader.”
Arcilla aimed to show his comical side as a game show host for ‘SpinGo.’
He considered landing the hosting stint with the TV5 game show as a ‘jackpot.’
Aside from his hosting stint, Arcilla also discussed his views about the nature of game shows in the Philippines, highlighting the values of Filipinos about charity.
As for ‘SpinGo,’ the Kapatid Network game show features Arcilla with the Spingorgeous Girl Sam Coloso.
