On August 24, actress Jennica Garcia discussed how she realized she’s a ‘fighter’ like her mom, Jean Garcia.
At the ‘Queen White’ media event at the Romulo Cafe in Quezon City, which LionhearTV covered, Jennica discussed how she felt getting compared to her mother, Jean.
“Comparison? Siguro when I was in High School, I feel that I was very much affected kasi minsan kapag nakikita ako ng fans ni Mama, nagugulat sila na anak ako ni Mama. Kasi, hindi kami magkamukha, I think I look more of my father than my mom. So, at first lang, pero ngayon hindi naman na po. Ganon.”
She then cited how she realized she was a fighter like her mother, noting how Jean provided for her despite not having a partner.
“Hindi ko alam na nakuha ko ‘to sa kaniya noon, pero ngayong gets ko na. Nakuha ko ‘yung pagiging palaban ng Mama ko. Kung feeling ko ang lakas ko na ngayon, ang tapang ko na ngayon, mas lalo na siguro ‘yung Mommy ko.
“Because my Mom had me– I was 19, my gosh, nagko-collect pa po ako ng Pokemon cards ng 19. Ano naman po ‘yung alam ko sa pagiging isang ina. And ako, and si Mama kasi di ba? She was never married naman in the past. So it was just her, literally just her.”
She then acknowledged her former partner, Alwyn Uytingco’s, contribution to raising their kids.
“And I have Alwyn to thank because kahit na po– I feel that I have Alwyn talaga also to thank because regardless of how our marriage ended. Nandoon pa rin sa naalalayan pa rin niya ako ng 11 beautiful years di ba? Iba pa rin na mayroon akong kaakibat sa buhay. ‘Yung Mommy ko kasi talaga, siya lang kasi talaga. So ‘yun po, ‘yung pagiging palaban niya.”
As for Garcia’s latest endorsement, Queen White CEO Sarah Vidi Payni-Mercado introduced the actress as their newest endorser for the skincare brand and their products.
Queen White is known for their dedication to using effective ingredients and providing result-oriented formulations, offering a broad collection of skincare products.
