On August 24, actress Jennica Garcia recounted how Dreamscape Entertainment and the series ‘Dirty Linen’ changed her life.
At the ‘Queen White’ media event at the Romulo Cafe in Quezon City, which LionhearTV covered, Garcia revealed that she was planning to work abroad before getting the role in ‘Dirty Linen.’
“Binago po talaga ng Dreamscape ‘yung magiging takbo ng buhay ko. Kasi, bago naman po ‘yung Dirty Linen, mayroon na po akong mga plans to work abroad. Naayos ko na ‘yung papers ko and everything. So nakakatuwa po and hindi ko rin po inaasahan na mamahalin ng tao si Lala.”
She also felt overwhelmed by the viral and positive response to her performance from the netizens on social media.
“Sobrang overwhelming ‘yung dami ng beses na nag-trend ‘yung character. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam siyempre kapag pinagtra-trabahuhan mo ng mabuti ‘yung isang bagay tapos naa-appreciate ito ng mga tao.”
She then remarked how the support from their audience boosted her confidence as an actress.
“Sobrang laking confidence ang nabigay sa akin ng mga netizens. Pakiramdam ko po, wala po kayong idea kung gaano ninyo ‘to hinulma din ‘yung lakas ng loob ko para ipagpatuloy ‘yung karera sa pag-aartista.”
She enjoyed the renewed appreciation she got from the audience after donning the role of ‘Lala’ in ‘Dirty Linen.’
“Sobra pong nakakatuwa. Dahil po sa Dirty Linen, pakiramdam ko po ngayon, sa tinagal-tagal kong nag-artista, ngayon ko po masasabi na, ‘Ah, susundan ko talaga ang yapak ni Jean Garcia.’ Ganon po ‘yung feeling na ma-ikalma mo, ‘yung ganon. Ang sarap, sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam na na-appreciate nila ‘yung talento, ‘yung hardwork din natin. Sulit lahat ng puyat. Makakaasa ang mga ka-Dirty natin nag pag-iigihan po natin ng mabuti.”
As for Garcia’s latest endorsement, Queen White CEO Sarah Vidi Payni-Mercado introduced the actress as their newest endorser for the skincare brand and their products.
