Director Mark Reyes recently unveiled the commencement date for filming the eagerly anticipated ‘Encantadia’ spin-off series titled ‘Sang’gre.’
This revelation came during a Facebook Live session on Rock of Manila TV on September 13.
When asked about the filming start date for ‘Sang’gre,’ the director responded during the session, “Next month. October. I just wanna breathe first.”
Notably, Director Mark Reyes had recently completed his work on ‘Voltes V: Legacy.’
Time has seemingly flown by, as Director Reyes reminisced about the days when they were still in the initial stages of discussing the pilot script for ‘Sang’gre.’
In March, Director Reyes posted a group selfie on Instagram featuring standees representing the characters portrayed by Glaiza De Castro, Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, and Sanya Lopez.
Back in February, Annette Gozon-Valdes, the Senior Vice President of GMA Network, confirmed the production of the ‘Sang’gre’ spin-off series during an interview with Paolo Contis on the program ‘Just In.’
During the 68th anniversary celebration of GMA Network, fans had vocally expressed their desire for Director Reyes to consider a Season 2 of ‘Encantadia.’
In the meantime, Director Reyes has alluded to the possibility of a sequel to ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ through an intriguing Instagram post.
Furthermore, there have been reports that GMA Network is planning to adapt another beloved Japanese anime series from the 90s, ‘Daimos,’ with Alden Richards, recognized as “Asia’s Multimedia Star” and the National Heartthrob, being considered for a prominent role.
