In the midst of the ongoing controversy surrounding the Instagram unfollowing incident involving half-sisters KC Concepcion and Frankie Pangilinan, veteran showbiz columnist and TV-radio host Cristy Fermin has shed light on the strained relationship between the siblings.
In a recent episode of ‘Showbiz Now Na’ on her YouTube channel, Fermin confirmed the ongoing discord between KC and Frankie, the elder daughters of Megastar Sharon Cuneta (with KC being the daughter of Gabby Concepcion and Frankie being the daughter of Kiko Pangilinan).
Fermin expressed her views on the matter, emphasizing that comparing the two siblings was not fair and that it was essential not to make such comparisons as they shine in different ways in their respective times.
According to Fermin, the tension between the sisters dates back, but it escalated when KC made comments about her parents, Mega and Gabby, which appeared to have hurt Frankie’s feelings. This was reported to be a significant factor that led to the unfollowing incident on Instagram.
Sharon Cuneta’s stance on the issue was also mentioned by Fermin, saying that she is no longer acting as a bridge between her two daughters but has become a barrier separating them.
The public has been abuzz with the recent unfollowing incident on Instagram, with many expressing their views on the situation. Critics have also raised questions about MTRCB Chairperson Lala Sotto’s alleged bias in light of her family’s involvement in the TV5 program ‘E.A.T.’
KC Concepcion, in a recent statement sent to Boy Abunda, shared her perspective on the situation. She expressed gratitude for the love and support she has received from her stepfather Kiko Pangilinan and mentioned that she is prioritizing her own happiness. KC stated that she believes in the power of love to eventually overcome any personal challenges the family is facing.
While tensions remain, KC emphasized her commitment to maintaining a positive outlook and expressed her unwavering love for her family. She affirmed that one day, they will overcome their differences.
