Showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin didn’t hold back as she took a jab at motivational speaker Rendon Labador during a recent episode of her show, ‘Showbiz Now Na’ on September 29.
The discussion centered around the “lubid” (rope) issue involving E.A.T. host Joey De Leon.
When Wendell Alvarez mentioned that he liked what a particular vlogger had to say about the issue, he was referring to Rendon.
In a recent Instagram story, Rendon seemed to scold netizens. He claimed that people are now turning to him as a voice for correcting wrongdoings after he was reported for confronting their idol, Vice Ganda.
However, Cristy quickly interrupted Wendell’s statement, implying that Rendon was merely seeking attention.
She suggested that Rendon’s opinions were not being sought by anyone, and he was wasting his time opposing the majority.
“‘Wag na natin siyang bigyan ng panahon. Sayang ang ating oras, Wendell Alvarez, di ba. Unang-una walang naghahanap sa kaniya,” she said.
“Maraming maligaya na nawala siya. Hindi siya hihingan ng opinyon kung ang ibibigay lang naman niya ay kontra sa buong mundo. Hindi ka hahanapin. ‘Yun lang ‘yon.”
Cristy Fermin’s comments added fuel to the ongoing controversy surrounding Rendon Labador’s recent actions and statements in the entertainment industry.
