The official trailer for the upcoming chapter of ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ has been unveiled, offering viewers a sneak peek into the series that centers around Tanggol (Coco Martin) and his life behind bars.
Released on the official Facebook page of Dreamscape Entertainment, the caption for the trailer hints at a new chapter in the series, stating, “Sa pagsisimula ng BAGONG YUGTO, babaligtad ang kanilang mga MUNDO!
The show also marks the return of Kapamilya veteran Jaclyn Jose and introduces Ivana Alawi, who plays a pivotal role in Tanggol’s life, sparking discussions about their much-anticipated “higupan scene.”
In a recent interview with Coco Martin conducted by MJ Felipe via TV Patrol at ABS-CBN News, the actor shared his excitement about the forthcoming scenes in the series. He expressed that they’ve shown viewers what to expect from the storyline’s development.
Felipe inquired if Coco ever struggles with running out of ideas as both an actor and director.
Coco believes that besides God’s guidance, he is also guided by the late Da King, Fernando Poe Jr., who starred in the iconic film ‘Batang Quiapo.’
“Guidance ni God, and then sabi ko siguro… naniniwala ako na nariyan si FPJ para i-guide ako talaga…”
Janice Jurado, one of the cast members, noted that there are moments when she sees FPJ’s spirit in Coco, suggesting that the King of Philippine Cinema may have found a worthy successor in the talented actor.
