On August 14, director Bobby Bonifacio Jr confirmed that Hollywood films, Midsommar and Mother, inspired some of the scenes in ‘Kahalili.’

At the special screening event for ‘Kahalili,’ which LionhearTV covered, Bonifacio remarked how some cult-related scenes in the upcoming Vivamax film had Hollywood inspirations.

“Honest naman tayo diyan, Midsommar and Mother.”

He then discussed the challenges he encountered filming the ‘orgy scenes’ in the upcoming Vivamax psychological horror.

He also noted the amount of time involved in completing the whole sequence.

And ayun nga po, para mabigyan ng direksyon ‘yung ganong karaming tao in the fastest way possible, medyo nakaka-tense na rin po talaga.”

As for doing sexy-horror-genre, Bonifacio explained that he would always want to diversify his body of work as a filmmaker.

However, he pointed out how he enjoyed the freedom Viva gave him as a director.

As for their upcoming film, ‘Kahalili’ stars Stephanie Raz, Mercedes Cabral, Sid Lucero, Millen Gal, and Victor Relosa.

Directed by Bobby Bonifacio Jr, ‘Kahalili’ streams via the Vivamax app starting on August 18.
