Belle Mariano has a new film set to be released in September, titled ‘Huling Sayaw’, but according to the project’s director, Errol Ropero, they cannot count on her for promotional activities.
Reportedly, Belle’s team declined to participate in promotions due to scheduling conflicts with their artist, preventing the film from having additional shooting days as well.
The movie was initiated five years ago and, due to the pandemic, is only now seeing the light of day. According to Ropero, this was before Belle became a famous name in showbiz.
Director Errol expressed his grievances about a boycott campaign targeting the film. He felt that Belle’s image was being used on the movie poster to boost its earnings.
Ropero defended the movie, stating that Belle had participated in a photoshoot with the lead actor, Bugoy Cariño, and that they had treated her participation in the film with utmost care.
He appealed to Belle’s supporters to watch the film, emphasizing that it would demonstrate how well they had handled her part in the project. Expect a clash between Belle’s fans and the ‘Huling Sayaw’ group over this issue.
‘Huling Sayaw’ directed by Errol Ropero will be shown in cinemas starting September 13.
