The channel bested all other Southeast Asian-based accounts, with over 50 billion lifetime views and 45 million subscribers.
ABS-CBN’s main entertainment channel on YouTube, eponymously called, ABS-CBN Entertainment, hit a major milestone on Friday, September 15, pushing its number of subscribers past 45 million for the first time. The feat marks the first time a Philippine-based channel on the platform reached such a number. Solidifying its presence on the streaming and video-sharing platform, ABS-CBN Entertainment simultaneously strengthened its digital stronghold, besting all other channels, not just in the Philippines but the rest of Southeast Asia.
The same channel notably hit 43 million subscribers just 6 months ago. This expansion eclipses the network’s overall effort to further its footprint in the digital realm. Last month, the network’s official TikTok channel emerged as the most viewed in the region, amassing more than 2.85 billion views throughout the first six months of 2023.
Through its Kapamilya Online Live, which streams on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, ABS-CBN makes its past and current shows available to its online audience. Full episodes of several classic shows are uploaded daily as well–as currently airing dramas, including FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, The Iron Heart, Senior High, and noontime shows, ASAP Natin ‘To and It’s Showtime.
