On August 1, Kapamilya artists Yves Flores and Gillian Vicencio addressed whether they have a budding romance.Â
At the media conference for ‘RETOX: 2 Be Continued,’ which LionhearTV covered, Flores discussed whether he finds Vicencio a ‘girlfriend material’ or a potential romantic partner.
“Oo naman si Gill, girlfriend material. Una sa lahat madali siyang suyuin, madali siyang patawanin. Napaka-simpleng tao, parang hindi niya kailangan ng mga mamahaling mga bagay.”
He noted that it was easy for him to get along and bond with Vicencio.
“Like, may naalala ako dati, nasa bandang–dito lang sa QC area, sabi ko kain tayo, tapos parang– gusto niya isaw lang ‘yung sa kanto.Â
“Ayun nga, simple lang ‘yung mga gusto niya tapos madali makipag-communicate, tapos nakikinig naman siya sa akin. At lagi rin siya naka-guide sa akin, parang ganon din ako sa kaniya.”
As for Vicencio, she described the Kapamilya star as selfless and puts effort into his loved ones.
“Si Yves, oo kasi malambing talaga siya. Ma-effort din. Kaya nga noong sinabi nga na siguro ang advice niya kay Red ay unahin ‘yung sarili niya kasi selfless po siya. Kapag love niya po ‘yung tao, or kapag importante sa kaniya ‘yung tao, mag-eeffort talaga siya at ipapakita niya ‘yung nararamdaman niya sayo.”
When asked about their relationship, Flores clarified that they’re not together.
“Wala naman po aaminin. Ganito talaga kami ni Gillian. Siguro ‘yun din ‘yung napapansin ng iba na akala nila kami. Pero, hindi. As in ganito lang kami. Ganito ‘yung way namin na–minsan hindi kami okay eh. Minsan di kami nagpapansinan, pero minsan ganito kami. Ito lang ‘yung natural na kami.”
However, Vicencio revealed that Flores may have joked about possibly courting her.
“Siyempre for now po, trabaho po muna tapos tignan po natin kung saan siya papunta. Kasi masaya naman po kami sa–sabi niya po pwede daw po ba niya ako ligawan ng after two years, noong nagsho-shoot po kami ng 2 Good 2 Be True.”
The spin-off series of Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla series ‘2 Good 2 Be True’ features Yves Flores and Gillian Vicencio, with the supporting cast including Mercedes Cabral, Earl Ignacio, Migo Valid, and Kate Yalung.
‘RETOX: 2 Be Continued,’ under the direction of Paco Sta Maria, started streaming via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel on August 1.
