During the recent episode of It’s Showtime, comedian Vice Ganda couldn’t help but address one of the contestants of ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ named ‘Lendon,’ whose name closely resembled Rendon Labador, the motivational speaker who previously criticized Vice and Ion Perez’s actions during the ‘Isip Bata’ segment on July 25.
“Anong masasabi niyo kay Lendon? Para ma-motivate si Lendon,” Vice said.
Amidst the playful banter, Vice Ganda took the opportunity to send a message to ‘Lendon,’ expressing his wish for the contestant’s genuine happiness. He encouraged Lendon to find joy in everything he does and make his loved ones proud.
“Lendon! Masaya ka naman? Sana, sa lahat ng ginagawa mo, ang hangad ko ay lubos na kasiyahan ng iyong puso,” said Vice. “Dun tayo sa ikasasaya natin, Lendon. Sa lahat, sana, masaya ka. Make your mama proud.”
During the show, Vice Ganda also praised individuals in various honorable but low-income professions, particularly tricycle drivers, highlighting their hard work and dedication as an example of honorable work. He emphasized the importance of finding contentment and pride in one’s livelihood, regardless of the income.
“Ang kanyang hanapbuhay ay marangal. Kaya ako talaga, saludo sa mga tricycle drivers. Ang hirap n’yan na trabaho. Hindi kalakihan ang sinusweldo pero marangal, malinis. Gano’n dapat, Lendon!” he added.
Meanwhile, Rendon Labador remains vocal in his criticisms of Vice Ganda and Ion Perez. Over the weekend, he once again expressed his sentiments, sharing a photo of himself with Vice from a concert scene. He cautioned that tolerating their actions could have a significant impact on their young supporters and called on the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to take action.
Despite the ongoing exchange, Vice Ganda’s message to ‘Lendon’ focused on positivity and happiness, urging the contestant to find fulfillment and joy in all aspects of life.
