In the midst of the recent controversy involving the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), showbiz couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez decided to take a much-needed vacation starting today.
The couple’s getaway comes after the MTRCB summoned the producers of the show “It’s Showtime” to address alleged indecent acts during a July 25 episode.
Taking to Instagram, Vice Ganda shared an Instagram story featuring his partner, Ion Perez, on board an airplane. However, the couple did not disclose the destination of their trip.
In another Instagram story, Vice Ganda shared a photo of them holding hands with a reassuring caption that read, “Hold my hand. Everything will be okay.”
On Twitter, Vice Ganda confirmed that they were only approved for a 2-day vacation, suggesting that the couple intends to use this time to unwind and regroup amidst the ongoing issue.

The recent controversy that led to the MTRCB’s summoning involves an incident during the “Isip Bata” segment of “It’s Showtime,” where Vice Ganda and Ion Perez were seen eating a cake in a manner that drew criticism from some adults. The incident has sparked debates about the boundaries between childlike innocence and adult sensibilities in television programming.
