In his pursuit of delivering action-packed scenes for the full-action series ‘Black Rider,’ Ruru Madrid, much like Lolong the crocodile, opted to perform his own stunts.
While Ruru takes all possible precautions, injuries can still happen, as demonstrated by his recent knee injury.
In an Instagram post, Ruru shared his commitment to doing his own stunts and fight scenes despite the risks involved. He suffered an Acute Ligamentous Injury to his right knee but reassured his fans that there is no cause for concern.
“Getting stronger everyday! 💪”
“I love doing my own stunts and fight scenes pero syempre hindi maiiwasan ang aksidente. I just had another injury (Acute Ligamentous Injury) sa right knee. That’s why I decided to get a PT (Physical Therapist) Coach @josephsantosii para mas maging matibay at handa ang katawan sa lahat ng eksena na kailangan gawin,” Ruru stated.
He added, “Health is wealth, kaya pangalagaan natin ang ating mga katawan para sa ating kinabukasan! ☺️✨”

This isn’t the first time Ruru has faced an injury while performing stunts. Last year, during the filming of ‘Lolong,’ he fractured his left foot while attempting a challenging jump for a scene.
Despite these setbacks, Ruru Madrid’s dedication to his craft and his commitment to delivering thrilling performances remain unwavering. He aims to bounce back stronger and ensure minimal delays in the taping of ‘Black Rider.’ Fans can expect to see more exciting action sequences from this talented actor.
