Beauty queen Shaila Rebortera revealed that she has a child with actor Rob Gomez. Shaila made the disclosure through her Facebook and Instagram posts on Friday night, August 4, 2023.
Shaila is known to the public as Miss Millennial Philippines 2018, representing Cebu in the beauty pageant of Eat Bulaga!. In 2021, she was crowned Miss Multinational Philippines. She also holds the titles of Miss Cebu 2016 second runner-up and Sinulog Festival Queen in 2018. Presently, Shaila is a licensed dentist.
The public was aware that Rob was single, so Shaila’s revelation about having a child with the Magandang Dilag actor came as a surprise to many.
Their adorable baby daughter is named Amelia.
In the caption of the photos featuring their child and the three of them together, Shaila wrote:
“I’ve always been told to wait for the perfect time to tell the world about you. However, I realized, there is no such thing as ‘perfect time.’
“We only have one life to experience these moments, and it is in our hands to make these moments perfect.
“My life, for the most part, has always been private — but honest. For over a year, I’ve been bursting to show you to the world, and to show you the world.
“My heart has never known this much love until I had you, my Amelia.”

The reason behind Shaila’s public revelation about having a child with Rob is not clear, but it may be related to the actor’s recent interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda earlier that afternoon.
During the interview, Boy Abunda asked Rob about his relationship status with Herlene Budol. Aside from being love team partners in Magandang Dilag, they were also each other’s date at the GMA Gala 2023 on July 22.
Rob stated that he and Herlene are just friends and have no romantic relationship outside of work.
When asked if he is currently single, Rob quickly answered “yes.”
He also mentioned that he is courting someone at the moment.
“Kawawa naman tayo kung wala tayong love life,” he jokingly said.
However, Rob found it difficult to answer directly when asked if he is currently dating someone.
He only said, “We always have someone.”
He struggled to explain his statement, and it was evident that Rob was nervous as he began to sweat, despite the studio being cold.
Once he calmed down, Rob said, “Masaya naman po tayo ngayon. I’m very happy with how everything’s going—with work, with my life outside of work. Everything’s good.”
