On July 24, Viva artists Nico Locco and Christine Bermas confirmed their romantic relationship.
At the media conference for the Vivamax movie ‘Manyak,’ which LionhearTV covered, Locco admitted to his romantic relationship with Bermas while noting that their upcoming Vivamax movie is his dream project.
“Para sabihin ang totoo, it really is when I say dream project. All aspects of it are a dream project. Kasi, I get to work with one of my favorite directors in the [whole] industry– dito sa Pinas. As well as I get to work with my partner, Christine Bermas.
“Actually, nag-worry ako na baka awkward eh, kasi I mean, me and Christine know each other siyempre sa personal lives namin and social lives namin, pero we never worked together. Pero, I got to see a whole new side of her and actually nag-workshop kami ni Christine with our acting coach for a week.”
As for Bermas, she agreed with Locco about working on their dream project together.
“Finally, I got to work with him kasi parang dream namin together, na magkaroon kami ng film together. And then now it happened.
“Hindi naman sa nahirapan, parang naiisip ko before na baka magkaroon ng awkwardness or you know, kasi magkakilala kami in person. So naisip ko na baka mahirapan kami both. But then tinulungan kami ni Direk. And nagkaroon kaming workshop together. And he was helping me as well.
“He’s so gentle [and] /he’s so /nice– the person in and out camera. And then he’s really protective, and yeah, gentleman.”
Aside from working together, Bermas also detailed how she met Locco’s parents and the actor’s entire family.
“Actually, nasa Canada kami right now, and I’ve met his parents before, ‘yung Mom and Dad niya. Sa Philippines po twice. And then, now, I got the chance to meet the whole family here in Canada, and kind of a vacation for both of us.”
She also highlighted what it meant for her relationship with Locco when she met his parents.
“It’s like a different level kasi parang when magpapakilala ka– kapag nagpapakilala ka ng person sa family mo parang you know it’s a serious relationship, right? Parang nandoon na ‘yung security mo. Something like that.
“Thankful ako for him na nakilala ko ang parents niya and nafe-feel ko na he’s really serious sa relationship namin. And nakilala ko ang family niya, lahat sila sobrang bait, sobrang sweet.”
Locco and Bermas also revealed they’ve been in a relationship for 17 months.
Locco also detailed how he met Bermas while promoting their films, ‘Love at the End of the World’ and ‘Siklo.’
As for their first film together as a couple, Locco and Bermas star in the Vivamax film ‘Manyak’ with Sheree and Joko Diaz.
Under the direction of Carlo Alvarez, ‘Manyak’ streams on August 4 via the Vivamax streaming platform.
