On August 5, broadcast journalist and host Korina Sanchez revealed that she had her Tiktalks co-hosts drink alcoholic beverages during their brainstorming session for the second season of the TV5 show.

At the media event for ‘Tiktalks’ Season 2, which LionhearTV covered, Sanchez explained that having the alcoholic beverages during their brainstorming session helped bring out the personalities of her co-hosts.

“Hindi nagpagawa talaga ako ng mug. Cute din may mga pangalan namin ganon. So ‘yung iba, gusto nila Latte, kami ni G3, whitewine. In our very first brain storming, I really insisted they drink para lumabas ‘yung totoo nilang personality. At para lumabas lahat ng kanila talagang pag-usapan.”

Aside from their brainstorming session, Sanchez also discussed how she and her co-producer founded the talk show.

“Because when we started TikTalks, we — we have a peg, The View in America, may limang hosts, iba’t ibang pananaw, pero dito sa Tiktalks, ang naiisip namin kami ni Joji Dingcong, as the producers of Media Queens Incorporated, is to have representation of different shapes, and sizes, and personalities, and representations for each of us.”

She then explained what each hosts bring to the table. She noted that Kakai Bautista contributes her comical side, opinions, and powerful vocals. Pat-P Daza, the resident Marites, MariPatol, contributes her knowledge of entertainment news. G3 San Diego contributes her intellect and perspective of the LGBTQIA+ community, and Alex brings the male perspective about the topics they’re discussing.

Sanchez then highlighted what viewers could expect with the second season of ‘Tiktalks.’

“When we came together, parang banter-banter lang. Ngayon we put in a little more production, so when parating sinasabi ni Alex na mahal niya ang asawa niya, pero hindi sila masyado close, kaya hindi sila masyado nag-uusap. Madalas niyang punch line ang wife niya. So people want to know what his wife actually looks like, so pinapalagyan ko ngayon ng family photos.

As for the Second Season of ‘Tiktalks,’ the hosts Korina Sanchez, Pat-P Daza, G3 San Diego, Kakai Bautista, and Alex Calleja continue their banter-filled and insightful discussion of various topics every Sunday on TV5.
