Is it true that Kim Chiu, the TV host-actress, is avoiding interviews with talent manager Ogie Diaz?
In the latest episode of Ogie’s ‘Showbiz Update’ vlog, he discussed issues surrounding the Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ with Mama Loi and Tita Jegs.
During the discussion, Tita Jegs brought up the controversial statements made by Kim Chiu while the program was on the air, including mentions of a “vibrator” and “pkpk shorts.”
Ogie Diaz believed that these comments might be overlooked by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) because Kim Chiu appeared to be innocent.
Mama Loi added, “At saka binawi agad. ‘Di ba ‘yun ‘yung sabi [na kapag same episode, babawain mo ‘yung feeling mo nagkamali ka ng sinabi].”
However, Ogie still mentioned that Kim might have to apologize to the MTRCB, but there’s a good chance she will be acquitted for the mistake she made while the ‘It’s Showtime’ episode was airing live.
Tita Jegs suggested that they interview Kim to get her side of the story.
Ogie humorously mentioned that he tried to reach out to Kim and even sent her a text message.
At first, Kim responded, but later, her response appeared to be left as “delivered” when asked if she could have a one-on-one interview.
Ogie texted her again with, “Ah baka busy ka lang. ‘Di bale, next time na lang” but Kim still did not reply.
Ogie said maybe Kim is just busy. He mentioned that it’s fine if she doesn’t want to be interviewed. No problem, he added.
Mama Loi added that it seems like artists are getting nervous about interviewing with Ogie, and she thinks they might be hiding something.
Ogie clarified that he doesn’t have any ill feelings towards Kim, but it would have been better if she had replied or declined the interview instead of ignoring it.
“Pero ok lang.Kapag hindi mo naramdamang gusto mo, ‘wag mong gagawin. Iyan naman ang importante… Sana nga lang sumagot ng ‘Mama, pass muna’, mas matatanggap ko pero ‘yung dedma [natawa], matatanggap ko pa rin naman.
“Normal ‘yan. Yan ang turo sa amin. ‘Pag ikaw lumapit at tinanggihan ka, dapat handa ka. Kapag sila lumapit at tinanggihan mo sila, dapat handa rin sila,” Ogie said.
He also mentioned that it’s normal, and they were taught that if you approach someone and they decline, you should be prepared. Similarly, if they approach you and you decline, they should be prepared too.
Kim has not yet issued a statement regarding the issue.
