On August 14, Kapamilya host-actress Kim Chiu got emotional while interviewing the Mini Miss U Contestant from Laguna Rain Majain about her family and living situation inside a cemetery.

During the ‘It’s Showtime’ segment Mini Miss U, Chiu asked Rain whether she felt scared living inside a cemetery. The Mini Miss contestant answered, stating she doesn’t feel afraid as long as she is with her family.

Rain responded.

Amy Perez-Castillo remarked how mature the Mini Miss U contestant was with her responses.

“Kita mo nga naman, tingin ko 50 years old ka na ba?”

Chiu observed that Rain seemed emotional while responding to her questions.

Rain detailed her parents’ livelihood while living in a cemetery.

“Si mommy po, naglalaba. Yung daddy ko po, naghahalo ng semento.”

Rain said she is the youngest of five siblings, and she detailed how her older siblings help out with their parent’s livelihood.

At this point, Chiu was visibly holding back her emotions.

When the hosts’ asked the Mini Miss U contestant about her message to her parents, Rain said, “Mommy, I love you. Nag-aalaga kayo sa akin, I love you din at Daddy.”

Rain then shared that she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up.

The hosts then interviewed Rain’s dad, which broke Chiu in tears.

Later on, the Mini Miss U contestant then asked Chiu, “Bakit ka nalulungkot sa mga sinasabi ko?”

Chiu replied, noting how touched she was with Rain’s maturity and care for her parents.

Rain then won the crown as the Mini Miss U for the day.
